Week 17 - American Samoa
Still reppin malaeimi baby. This place is like my second home man. Me and my comp Elder Masuisui are working hard out here trynna find and teach. riding the ups and downs with faith that God's got us and that he's got all of our friends. was kinda sick this past week with a hecka stuffy nose and a cough... as my fam knows whenever I get a cold I get ear infections really quick... so earlier this week I started feeling my right ear acting up and I was like, " e leai sole, not gonna happen bro Iv'e got proselyting tomorrow". so I asked my companion if he could give me a blessing that I would be well enough to do the work of the Lord and he gave me a short fervent blessing. I woke up the next morning with the pain gone and we proselyted the whole day. How amazing is priesthood power?
We got a ton of people we are teaching and I am really hopeful with all of them. Just gotta keep praying for them and doing all we can for them. We have a friend who is getting baptized later this month and he is progressing so well. his name is tauuma and he works at a tinfish packing company like pretty much everyone else who lives on this island haha. he is dope.
Nothing earth-shattering has happened this past week. Just the regular ups and downs of missionary work. Always trying to get better, trust more in the Lord, be more obedient, treat my comp better.... There's always something we can improve on. Man I actually am starting to see the phrase, "Just get lost in the work" take meaning in my life. It's a good feeling. I love the people here. I love how good the food is here and I love how bad the food is here sometimes. I love the language. I love being able to study every single day from the Book of Mormon. I love testifying of the prophet Joseph Smith. I love sharing a scripture that I just studied that morning that applies perfectly in the teaching situation. I love it. Anything negative that happens is a small price to pay to be apart of this amazing work
I hope everyone is happy. I hope everyone is doing the things that will lead to true happiness. that's what its all about man... I love you guys have a great week.
