A super cool experience happened the other day! we went to teach an older guy named Salevaiolo who we had been talking to a little bit and we finally got the chance to sit down with him and teach a lesson. anyway I was super tired that day so trying to understand the entire conversation was near impossible but I picked up some stuff here and there. when I had the chance to share my testimony I told him in rough Samoan that Heavenly Father loved him and he prepared a way for him to receive peace and happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. I told him that way was through accepting the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be baptized. he was actually nodding along as I was speaking! that was so cool to actually have someone understand me for once haha. but anyway after we left the house I ask my soa what he said and my soa said, "He told us that he had watched conference a couple weeks ago and felt the spirit super strong that he needed to make a change in his life". so what I shared about baptism was perfect because it is the change and the step that he knows he needs to take in his life. It was just super awesome that I didn't fully know what was going on but I was prompted to share that. I could tell a ton more stories about our other friends but I just don't have the time. Just know that it "sufficeth me to say" that God has prepared souls for us here in Malaeimi.
So anyway I still suuuuck at teaching the lessons brooo hahah like it is soo bad. like teaching is not my thing in the first place but teaching in Samoan is just a completely different thing. My comp let me lead the lesson yesterday and that was pretty interesting. "ou te iloa ua oo mai le taime e amataina lesona!" haha I had to say that at the start. but its all good man my comp saves me. so anyway next week is transfer week and there is a slight chance i could be training. If you don't know what that is.. I will be a senior companion even though i don't know how to teach the lessons or speak the language. so if that happens just know that it is all up to God and i will probably cry myself to sleep every night haha. I love you all.
